Frosted Glass Pricing – Glass Etching Prices
ETCHED or FROSTED GLASS is a generic term for the treatment of the glass surface to diffuse transmitted light, reduce glare and give the glass a white, frosted appearance. Sans Soucie etches the glass by sandblasting. “Etching” the glass (vs. carving), means that we have sandblasted the glass enough to effect the glass surface only. Etching does not go deep into the glass and creates a one-dimensional effect.
Sans Soucie designs are sandblasted different ways, creating different effects for different levels of privacy and price. Using our Iris Flower as an example, the photos below demonstrate 14 different sandblast etching, carving and painting effects, as well as different background effects we use to create the privacy needed for each particular piece in the price range within our clients budget. With all these choices it’s easy to find just the right fit for your glass. Whether it’s a door, window or shower, any design, in any effect – can be applied to any product!
